[pandorabots-general] Images in chat in Flash AS3

How long ago did you provide this source code? I can't find it in past
Pandora emails. I've started to hear about other flash implementations,
mostly commercial, so others must have discovered this new feature also.
This is certainly good news, as all the proprietary engines are slowing
down the formation of standards. New antimation tools are working
their way out of pro studios that are going to make life like avatars
with accurate believable emotion expressions widely available. The
problem will be that the bot's API won't have the 'granularity' or fine
level of expression control to effectively use what the avatars can act
out. The AI will need a whole new emotion analysis and tracking
subsystem to provide the empathy or reciprocity simulation outputs
needed by the new hi def avatars. As a beginning, the KB will need
emotion tags added to words or phrases that identify the type of emotion
the word is associated with, and the average intensity. As the dialog
goes on these phrases are averaged to predict / track the emotional tone
of the converstation. This is essential to the avatar adopting the
correct expression.

Subject: [pandorabots-general] Images in chat in Flash AS3

As a follow up to the Flash AS3 Chat Source Code I provided, something
that has been mentioned to me is that AI developers don't use Flash
because it doesn't allow for inline <IMG> tags in textfields.

While this was true in previous versions of Flash, in AS3 you can
actually include <IMG> tags directly into your textfields, adding this
functionality directly to your chatbot.
