Speech recognition sounds perfect for the future of Androids. If the motherboard and software were installed in the chest cavity, we could create a basic "Audio Droid". Technicians/botmasters don't have to go through the difficulty of creating facial movements for a basic android. If the droid can talk and respond to questions and basic language, such as voice recognition, and add the software to a mannequin, then we have and android. Now all it needs is a little movement such as the arms-at the shoulder joints. Anyways this is my idea of my Android that I plan to build in the future. Japan has a few androids of their own now. Such as the company "Kokoro". I have the perfect idea of an entertainment android. There is so much I can add to my project, such as lights for the eyes, which I actually have done with my first protocol, "Brexxa-1". I plan on simply "hacking" a mannequin this time.

it at a CAL conferance in Japan. I was surprised
to find that it seemed to work, but to the extent that
it seemed to recognise when students were giving
completely the wrong answer to preset questions
and answers. A closed response system by the def here

A few years ago I bought some voice recognition
software and found that my Japanese was not
recognised :-(. This encouraged me to believe that
VRS needs a lot of calibration or a good pronunciation.
But that was a few years ago.
I used my pandorabot for ESL but only using typing.

Hi
Has anyone done anything with voice recognition software? I teach ESL and I want animated characters to respond to kids English. Pipe dream I guess!?
