[pandorabots-general] Newbie Problem

Joe,

Here is a trick to debugging *.aiml files without an editor.

1)  Open it up in your internet browser.
2)  If there is a problem, XML will tell you what it is, but you
won't be able to see the code.  Note the line number and what it
tells you about the problem.
3)  Switch your view (View; Source if you use Internet
Explorer...  if you use Firefox like me it is View; Page Source).
Either way, this will show you the AIML code in a viewer format.
4)  Under the new window, you can select Edit; Go to Line (in
Firefox).  
5)  Under the new window, select File; Save As... 
6)  Check out the syntax, correct what is wrong, save it.
7)  Close the file and reopen using the browser again to make
sure you fixed the problem and any others.
8)  When you are happy with it, re-upload and you are off and
away.
