This is true.   The substitution feature of AIML (normalizion,
sentence-splitters, a few spelling "corrections" etc.) which might be
found in the startup.xml of another open source AIML interpeter, have
unfortunately been hard-wired into Pandorabots for some time.   Even
though Pandorabots gives away its free online service, they still need to
make money in order to do development.  So if a paying customer comes
along with a critical need to expose the substitution features, I am sure
they will be happy to make the startup.xml code available.
